Great rv park on the Arkansas River. Stayed mid-week and off season. Almost no one in the park. Very quiet and relaxing. Spacious sites. Clean showers and bathrooms.

After five days of hunting and really needing a shower this is the place seven of us chose. Ten dollars to take a HOT shower I couldn't get my money out fast enough. WELL LET ME TELL YOU! Just about the time I get my hair lathered up and soap on my face and ears and the water is nice and hot it goes ICE COLD. Yes six of us took ice cold showers. The seventh guy was waiting for the water to warm up for over an hour and the lady running the place shows up and says "yeah we've been having trouble with the water heater turning off". She goes to check on it and then comes back after fifteen minutes and says it was working but never once offed our money back for ice cold showers. Won't be coming back here. So if you want to pay $10 for a ICE COLD shower go ahead but not me.
My partner and I booked this campsite merely to use the showers and laundry facilities, as we prefer to disperse camp/not pay. We reserved one spot in the corner, however, after recommendation from a member of the staff, we pulled pur truck camper in site R8. It was nice to be so close to the river, with trout jumping right in front of us. The campground was very quiet and there was one other camper in our row. The views are decent with the mountains looming in the distance. However, if you are looking for a traditional camping experience, this is not the place. No camp fires allowed unless you have a solo stove (we were told guests had complained about the smoke). No charcoal grills. The list of rules was quite long, took maybe 10 minutes to read. Perhaps this campground is a bit more lively and fun, when not in the off season. Appreciated the hot showers and clean towels!
We enjoy our stay. perfect place of you want to be near town. However, to close to the hwy . Lots of road noise.
Casey was very helpful in sharing restaurant and other local points of interest. In October this was an especially beautiful location. Flat RV site. Hot showers, fast wifi and clean showers. The site is a short bike ride to downtown. We will be back. Visiting from Iowa.
We had a spot right next to the river with beautiful fall foliage. Couldn't ask for a better experience. We will be back!
